A Few Tricks for reading poker faces

Posted under poker bluff & poker tips & texas hold em poker

poker
An important facet in the game of Texas Hold em is misleading your competitors by leading them to believe you have a superb poker hand, when in all honesty you could possibly your hand is much worse than theirs. You may have heard this referred to as “Poker face”, a straight-face for fooling your poker buddies into supposing something that could be a lie.

If you have a good hand it is most likely going to make you feel nervous, could possibly make your hands shaky, and your pulse race. These are tell-tale signs that your opponents may notice very fast, especially if they are old friends. Keep in mind not to look at the pot if you have a good poker hand. This will show your competitors that you are, in your head, counting how much you will possibly win.

In the condition where you have a mediocre or dreadful hand, try not to dodge your competitors eyes, don’t lower your head, and don’t be indecisive about your bet. When you can prove to yourself that your poker hand is equal, or superior than your fellow poker players; you will have a better chance of misleading them. Remember to make this seem as natural as possible. Your use of body language and motions could be saying one thing, while the things you are talking about are giving them a whole different idea.

Another significant aspect of Texas Hold Em is to be attentive to your opponent’s “poker tells”. A “tell” is any kind of expression, physical gesture, or habit that may give you an idea of the type of Texas Hold Em hand they are holding. One critical point to remember is when your competitor is acting as though he has a strong hand; he, most likely, has a very weak hand. On the other hand, if he acts as though his hand is poor, he most likely has a very good hand.
